Moving our corporate accounting off Oracle and into the same Yardi environment that our investment and development teams use was a big challenge. BC Solutions was there to support and guide us thoughtfully through the process. Sanela worked through our chart of accounts with us, met with our team every week, and stayed with us through our first check run in Yardi. I'd recommend them to anyone making this move.

About Lowe

Based in Los Angeles, Lowe is a real estate investment, development and management firm with a national portfolio spanning commercial, mixed-use, hospitality and residential assets. Its investment and development teams were already operating in Yardi Voyager, while the corporate accounting group continued to run its general ledger and payables on Oracle.

Moving corporate onto Yardi meant joining the instance Lowe's development and investment groups already shared, so the conversion had to fit a live environment from day one.

The Challenge

This was a migration into a live database. Every corporate account, entity and vendor had to land inside a Voyager instance that Lowe's investment and development teams depended on daily, with no disruption to their work and no clean slate to build from.

The conversion required careful coordination across several fronts:

  • A six-segment Oracle chart of accounts with 34,775 account combinations and no direct equivalent in Yardi
  • A vendor master of roughly 19,000 records that needed review and cleanup before import
  • Corporate entities, AR customers and intercompany relationships to configure alongside existing Yardi data
  • Bank accounts, daily cash reporting and payment controls to rebuild in Yardi
  • Payroll budgets that needed to flow into Forecast Manager

All of it had to happen while the corporate team continued to close the books every month.

The BC Solutions Approach

BC Solutions started with the chart of accounts, because every downstream decision depends on it. Senior Consultant Sanela Nevers led the day-to-day conversion, and the team met weekly with Lowe's corporate accounting staff from kickoff through go-live.

The Results

Lowe's corporate accounting went live in Yardi on August 1, 2026, with December 2024 through December 2025 trial balances loaded into Live ahead of cutover. The team ran its first Yardi check run shortly after. The engagement produced measurable outcomes across the business:

▲

One Voyager Instance

Corporate joined investment and development

✓

3,545 Accounts

Consolidated from 34,775 Oracle combinations

✓

13 Months

Historical trial balances loaded into Live

✓

~7 Months

From first working session to go-live

With AP live, the engagement continued into bank feeds, Positive Pay, Forecast Manager and Fixed Asset Manager as Lowe builds on its consolidated platform.

Why It Matters

The Lowe engagement shows how BC Solutions handles one of the less common scenarios in the Yardi ecosystem: converting an enterprise accounting group from a different ERP into a Voyager database that is already in production.

Migrating into a live database requires a different playbook.

Staged loads, test database refreshes and validation before every import kept the shared system stable for the teams already working in it.

The chart of accounts decides everything downstream.

Collapsing 34,775 Oracle account combinations into 3,545 Yardi accounts, with the asset segment mapped to properties and job cost, gave reporting, budgeting and fixed assets a foundation everyone had already approved.

Clean master data prevents rework.

Cleaning up the vendor master and running every load in Test first meant problems surfaced there, where they were cheap to fix, instead of in Live.

Go-live is where the platform starts paying off.

Weekly sessions carried past AP go-live into banking, forecasting and fixed assets, so Lowe's team kept building on Yardi without starting a new project each time.
